A local BEE Level 2 tyre protection chain supplier and service company – Tyre Chain Services (TCS) and the top international player in this field, Erlau-RUD of Germany, joined forces a little over 15 years ago to form TCS RUD.

TCS RUD (Pty) Ltd was established on 15 February 2006, as a distributor of RUD products in the Southern part of Africa. RUD is a German-owned company with an outstanding reputation and quality engineered products. Well known around the world and represented in 120 countries worldwide, with several branches. TCS RUD is the sole RUD supplier of Tyre Protection Chains in South Africa, encompassing neighboring countries like Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Our Head Office and Workshop is based in Fochville, Gauteng. We also have storage facilities, where we store our chains and spares. Several servicing crews are working on sites all over South Africa and our technical staff is available 24/7. They are properly trained to give our clients exceptional service and maintain the highest standards. 

Prior to the tie-up, TCS was already the major player in South Africa’s mining sector, with 53% market share and holding 15% of the smaller slag reduction sector. We have now increased our market share in these sectors to 62% and 26% respectively. RUD products are also ISO9001 accredited.
